The team from the German radio channel ‘Deutschlandfunk’ came to see the dress rehearsal of ‘Cyborg- City’ last week. Listen to what they have to say about the show (it’s in German though). Open link here.
Happy to announce that I will be performing during this years Performing Arts Festival in an interactive show entitled ‘Cyborg City- die Schlacht um Troja.kon’. The basis of the show/ game Cyborg City is the creation of an urban laboratory to double existing and future life. Cyborg City audience members enter into the story of the game – from the perspective of gamers who design it. In their double role as gamer and (video) game character, they must technically and digitally upgrade their bodies and minds in order to be up to the complex quests of the future.
Premiere: Friday 18th May at 7pm, further shows: 19th, 20th May, Location: ehemaliges Stummfilmkino Delphi and then from 6th- 10th June as part of the festival, Location: Kühlhaus Berlin See you there!
Very excited to have been offered representation by Studio Funk Berlin as a bilingual voice over artist. Let the recording begin!
I had an audition with the ZAV just before Easter and am happy to say that they have taken me on. The ZAV is a ‘professional placement service for the performing arts, music and entertainment industry’ in Germany- it’s kind of a stamp of approval that I am indeed a talented and professional actress.
I started training with ‘Die Gorillas’, one of Germany’s most successful improvisational theatre companies. Workshops will run until the end of May and I am very happy to add to my skill set and work with a very talented bunch of actors.
I am currently working on a video installation project with artist Manfred Schneider which had its first commissioned trial at the Berlin Art Institute this week. The project will be shown at galleries in Europe. More info to come.
Very happy to announce that I will be flying out to London tomorrow to start working on a new theatre project – FALLEN WOMEN (working title). It centres around 4 female characters from 18th & 19th century plays in German – Gretchen, Marie, Klara and Emilia Galotti, from Faust I (Goethe), Woyzeck (Büchner), Maria Magdalene (Hebbel), and Emilia Galotti (Lessing), respectively. These 4 women are all punished for perceived sexual transgression. They all end up dead because of social judgments on what they should and shouldn’t do with their bodies. This is the first stage of the developing process and we will be working intensively for one week.
Very excited to start filming new TV Series ‘Die andere Seite’ (The other side) directed by Florian Anders next week in Cologne. I have been cast as the guest lead in an episode. More info soon.
Happy New Year everyone! May it be a healthy, prosperous and adventurous one for all. Be good to each other. Thank you to everyone who made 2017 so very special for me, it’s been an amazing year. Here is to another 365 days of wonder and new chances.
